Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains how Launch.et collects, uses, and shares information when you use the site. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, including when you create an account, submit a product, take part in discussions, submit an Advertise or contact request, or communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, profile details, listing content, discussion posts, and similar information you enter into forms.

If you submit an Advertise request, we also collect the business and creative details needed to review your placement, your preferred timing, optional destination links, and payment confirmation information such as a mobile-money transaction reference when you provide one.

We collect technical information automatically when needed to run and protect the site. Examples include your IP address, cookies used to keep you signed in or remember essential preferences such as language, and browser or device details that our systems record in the ordinary course of operation.

How we use information

We use this information to provide Launch.et, authenticate you, communicate with you about your account and submissions, operate product review and Advertise workflows, detect and limit misuse, run security checks including CAPTCHA when enabled, and understand how the service is used through product analytics.

For active promoted placements, we count impressions and clicks in aggregate so we can operate campaigns, measure placement performance, and improve the program. These metrics are tied to placement, creative, locale, and date—not to a public profile of individual visitors.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use service providers who process data on our behalf according to our instructions. Depending on how you use the site, this may include hosting and network providers, which handle IP addresses and related connection data in order to respond to your requests.

When enabled in our configuration, we also use PostHog for product analytics and Cloudflare for Turnstile verification and related security services. Those companies maintain their own privacy policies, which describe their practices in more detail.

Retention and your rights

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal requirements, or to establish or defend legal claims. Session information is limited by its expiry.

Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal information about you, subject to certain exceptions. To ask questions or exercise rights that apply to you, please use the contact options shown on the site.
